in the beginning there was muxtape, and it was good. then the gods of the internet said "let there be a way for individuals to search for songs already on the internet, then map them to a playlist that they would create. let the html code for this playlist be made available to them, so the user may post this playlist on their own website." so the gods of the internet created playlist.com, and it was good.
you'll see the new feature on the right- the new home for the soundtrack of finkipedia. hope you're enjoying the holiday tunes- i was able to find only 3 of my top 5 christmas songs, as posted last year, so i filled in two other worthy stand-ins. this station will be all christmas music all the time until after new year's day, when we'll switch over to a whole new format.

Okay. Wasn't expecting that. At least I have a good default soundtrack in case I need someone to think I'm in the Gap or something on a call. :-)
Good list, Fink. My favorite traditional Christmas songs are Bing Crosby's versions of "White Christmas" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas". My favorite newer Christmas song is Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)".
A good/poignant story about "I'll Be Home for Christmas": My father's parents owned and operate a bar and restaurant for a long time, and my dad used to tend bar there. He told me one of their customers who was WWII vet told that the ship he was on during the War played "I'll Be Home for Christmas" non-stop, all day on the ship's speakers.
Very nice new trick. Readership should increase 20%. Have you heard the funny christmas song, "Santa Clause Lost a Ho"--it is quite clever and funny. BTW, nice work getting Greg Lake in there--classic rock, but some of it is just good music.
@tj- your prediction is probably not far off- increasing by 20% would only mean adding one more person
